Summerfun Tournament - 16/17th July 2011
Each and every July, North Wilts Hockey Club has the pleasure of hosting
one of the summer highlights of the local hockey calendar. For the past
nine years, the North Wilts Summer 6's has brought together players of
all ages and abilities for a festival-style weekend of hockey,
socialising and in the most recent years, camping.
Whilst there is a serious side to the weekend with the men competing for
the Henry Dennett Cup and Len Evans Vase and the ladies competing for
the Linden Senegall-Smith Cup and North Wilts Vase, the weekend is
primarily about gathering together a variety of teams from both the local
area and further afield, to dust off the very first of the pre-season cobwebs with a weekend
of short, sharp fixtures combined with a social scene both in the day
and evening that is part reward for all those bleak mid-winter fixtures
that we all know and love.

A team of dedicated and committed club members, the North Wilts crew, in
association with the local umpiring association, the HGWHUA, delivers a
two-day tournament with up to 32 teams competing.
For many the Saturday night party is the highlight of the weekend: this year the theme is 'a life on the ocean waves'.
We now have a loyal following with teams returning year after year, and we do welcome new teams: however space is limited, so get your applications in ASAP (see email link below).
